Zaffer Merchant (CEO)
has over 25 years of working experience in the Wireless Industry specializing in
the Architecture, Design and Development of Embedded Wireless Handheld Devices
for Cellular, Enterprise, 2-way Paging and Public Safety Markets. His subject
matter expertise includes Speech/Signal Processing & Multimedia Architectures.
Zaffer is the author of several Motorola internal technical reports. Zaffer
Merchant has been recognized for his many contributions at Motorola including
being named Motorola Fellow, Dan Noble Fellow, Science Advisory Board Associate
(SABA) and Distinguished Innovator with 19 US Patents and several pending.
Dr. John G. Harris (CTO)
is an Professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with
affiliate appointment in Biomedical Engineering, University of Florida,
Gainesville . Dr. John Harris has over 25 years of experience in the areas of
machine and human processing of language, natural language processing, speech
recognition, speech synthesis, with special focus on Bio-inspired Algorithms and
Hybrid DSP/Analog Systems. Over the years he has single handedly commercialized
multiple speech technologies through partnership with Motorola Inc. and Texas
instruments.
Dr. Makarand Jawadekar has over 27
years of experience with Pfizer Inc. (Includes R & D and Worldwide
Pharmaceutical organization). R & D areas include heading Drug Delivery research
& development, Clinical Trials Supply Manufacturing and Packaging, Scale-up and
Technology Transfer as well as Pharmacy (CMC) areas. He managed several
functions/groups within Pharmaceutical R&D for many years. He was responsible
for Drug Delivery Technology Assessment function involving external ‘Drug
Delivery’ technologies. He has extensive experience in creating and cultivating
external partnerships and alliances for drug delivery technologies for Pfizer
Global R & D. In the recent past, he had been also been engaged in coordinating
outsourcing R & D activities with external partners/service providers. He began
his professional career at Pfizer Central Research in early 1982, after having
completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at the University of Minnesota. Dr.
Dale Williams has over 20 years of direct experience in the area
of Communication disorders and speech-language pathology. He has specific
experience in thoroughly understanding the pathology behind stuttering and
behavioral clinical therapy. He received his PhD in Speech-language pathology
from Southern Illinois University in 1992. He is currently a professor in the
Dept of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Florida Atlantic University, and
has a license in Speech-Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical
Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. Dr. Williams is an author of
“Stuttering recovery: Personal and Empirical Perspectives”. He has over 20
publications and over 10 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. William Harmon M.D., is the Director
of Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at the University
of Miami/Holtz children‘s hospital, who for the past 18 years has been engaged
in practicing cardiology. Dr. Harmon has over 20 journal publications, over 8
books and is listed in Best Doctors in America. |
